Sarteneja Village is approximately some 40 miles from Corozal Town passing through the Pueblo Viejo Ferry along the New River, through Copper Bank Village and onto Laguna Seca Ferry and driving pass Orchid Bay to Sarteneja.  Orange Walk Town is approximately some 44 miles from Sarteneja Village and all the roads are all-weather road but at times it gets a bit rough.  Driving from Corozal to Sarteneja it takes about an hour but depending on the Ferry traffic.  Driving from Orange Walk Town to Sarteneja passing by Little Belize it takes about an hour and twenty minutes but no ferries.

The government of Belize is seeking funding to replace the two ferries and paving the road all the way to Sartenejea Village which will then make the area explode.
