Belize held its General Election on the 11th of November 2020 and it showed massive and historic voter’s turn out regardless of the circumstance we are facing with the Covid-19 Pandemic. The incumbent party for the last 3 government terms has lost the election and the government elect the People’s United Party (PUP) has won 26 of 31 seats of the House of Representative. It is schedule that on Thursday November 12th, 2020 at 11:30am the new Prime Minister of Belize Hon. Johnny Briceno will be sworn in.

“The Office of the Prime Minister has announced that the Prime Minister of Belize Rt. Hon. Dean Barrow has today advised the Governor General of Belize to dissolve the National Assembly of Belize on Tuesday, October 6th, 2020. It was also advised to the Governor General to issue writs for the holding of the General Elections on Wednesday, November 11th 2020 with Wednesday October 21st 2020 as Nomination Day!”
