Also, a cement seawall was constructed around the perimeter of the island.  But a few open areas on the western side of the island are unobstructed for swimming.  However, over the years, some erosion has taken place within the seawall.  Nonetheless, with proper licensing, it can be built back.  Furthermore, one could also apply for a license to reclaim the 66-foot reserve along the entire island.  To note that one cannot build on the 66 feet reserve any permanent structures. 

Currently, there is a small wooden building of minimal value at the northeastern tip of the island.  Notably, the panoramic view from this perspective is of the Belize Barrier Reef to the east and Drowned Caye to the west. 

Importantly, the island was developed sustainably, with a minimal impact on the environment, and only in the areas that would be utilized.  Most importantly, on the southern tip of the island is an area that remains in its natural state.   

The swaying of coconut palms, the sun, the sea, and sunrise rising directly from the Barrier Reef, the sunset to the west, this is heaven on earth.

The island is located on South Gallows Point in the Belize District.   It is located approximately 8.5 miles from Belize City and 2.5 miles from the Belize Barrier Reef!  Drowned Caye to the west is under 1 mile away.  A natural deep channel through Drowned Caye provides direct access to the west.  Importantly, Port Coral is only 5 miles away!  Port Coral Island is the new cruise ship port in Belize, is under construction.

The deep channel provides access to the deep ocean, located 10 miles south of the property.  Goff Caye is in the same general area.
